According to the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union's website, the date of the ABU TV Song Festval 2017 has already been revealed, but the schedule of the organisation doesn't mention the song contest amongst their activities.

ABU Asia-Pacific Song Contest to be held in Sichuan

Sichuan, a province of Central China has been revealed as the next host place of the ABU Asia-Pacific Song Contest, which will be the first ABU competitive festival since 1991.

The name of the city has neither been revealed but Chengdu, the capital and biggest city of the Sichuan province might be the host city

As Asiavision gets closer, speculation grows.

According to the most recent informations about the upcoming Asiavision (also known as Eurovision Asia Song Contest), between 12 and 20 countries could debut in the first edition of this event. 

Although the host city has not been revealed, speculations about the participating artists have started growing as the event gets closer.

Two more entries have released their entries to the ABU Radio Song Festival 2016 website. Singapore, which has been participating in the ARSF since the start of the show, has selected Ling Kai as its representant, while Turkmenistan debuts in the event.

The ABU TV Cup Song Contest, which is set to premiere on early 2017, has already generated many youtube fan videos. This competitive event, was agreed between the chinese TV station Hunan TV and the Asia-Pacific Broadcating Union.

ABU Radio Song Festival 2016: Brunei not likely to participate.

According to RTB, the bruneian public broadcaster, has stated that they haven't recieved the invitation in order to participate in the fourth ABU TV Song Festival, which will take place in Beijing.

ABU will hold a meeting about the Song Festivals.

According to a document, published by ABU (Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union), the organisation will meet in order to discuss the future of the song festivals created by the union. The meeting is expected to take place, one day after the celebration of the fourth ABU Radio Song Festival, which is also included as a part of the Asia-Radio conference that will be hosted by China National Radio.
