According to the ABU (Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union), the fifth edition of the ABU TV Song Festival will be held in Bali on October 22. Radio Republik Indonesia and TVRI (Televisi Republik Indonesia), the two indonesian state broadcasters have agreed to celebrate the event in Bali.
The event may be held in Dempasar, the capital city of the island. As in the last editions, the festival will be a non competitive event, in which the participating ABU members will have to select a massively popular artist as their representant. The selected song must be a hit, sung in the official language of the participating country, in order to show the different cultures of the Asia-Pacific Region.
The venue for the event has not been revealed yet, although the Bali International Convention Center which has got an auditorium with a seat capacity for over 2.500 viewers, may be the most suitable one.

The Nusa Dua Convention Center would also be a suitable venue for the ABU TV Song Festival 2016. This center has got an extensive hall with a seat capacity for over 4.000 people, which could be divided into smaler rooms, of which the biggest one would have seats for 2.200 attendants.
