KBS the public Korean broadcaster, SBS the well known Australian TV channel, and many more spokepersons of many asian broadcasters have met in Beijing few days after the ABU Radio Song Festival.
The creation of the competitive Asiavision Song Contest was announced by SBS two months ago. Since then, the broadcaster has announced a guideline of the countries that are elegible to participate in the competition. Many broadcasters took part in the Media 2020, conference, where the debate about the future competitive song festival was addressed. KBS of South Korea has also stated that the Asian version of the Eurovision Song Contest is necesary.
Apart from those broadcasters, the chinese channel Hunan TV which was the first entity to unveil its plans for the ABU TV Cup Song Contest, also sent a spokeperson to the conference. The details about the futue event have not been told, but they are spected to be revealed in few months.
