ABU TV Song Festival 2016: Afghanistan, the most viewed video.

Although the ABU TV Song Festival isn't a competitive event, as every year, some videos of the performances tend to be more successful than others.
Traditionally the performances of Japan and South Korea in the event have been the most successful since the start of the event in late 2012. Since then, both countries have sent some of their most talented and well known singers but last year things started changing and the trend seems to be going on this year.

Surprisingly, the performance of Seeta Qaseemi from Afghanistan, has been the most viewed ATSF'2016 performance this year. This overseas afghan singer is well known both in Afghanistan and in many Persian speaking communities. Last year, the country was represented by a woman for first time, but this year's Afghan entry is different from what this contry has sent to the event. While all the previous Afghan songs in the event where patriotic and reivindicative, this year's song is an up tempo love song. The staging is also different from what this country has sent to the ATSF. This time, Seeta Qasseemi appeared on stage with four luxuriously dressed dancers. The result: One of the most visually interesting performances.

Ailee, the South Korean performer, who was internally selected by KBS has turned into the second most popular video frorm ABU TV Song Festival 2016. South Korea has always sent up-tempo songs and their entrants have always been well known Boy bands or girl bands, but this time, the country decide to send a solo singer performing a ballad. The lyrics of the song, talking about the healing powers of music and the pink flowers in the led screens have turned the performance into the second most viewed one.

Kyari Pamyu Pamyu who debuted in 2011 with the collaboration of the Japanese electronic music guru, Yatsukata Nakata, was the japanese representant this year. This time, the japanese singer sung two songs in Bali. Thanks to the cuteness of the performance and the original staging, this video is the third most viewed one.

Ayree from Kazakhstan sent a electronic Techno-pop song that for many people is the best one of this edition of the event. "Jaza qazagim alga", a patriotic song loosely translated as "My motherland" was elegantly performed by the kazakh singer and as a result, is the fourth most viewed video.

Laisha Junaid is the third Maldivian entrant in the history of the event. As usual, the national broadcaster of the country sent a soft pop track with ethnic tunes. This is the fifth most viewed video of this year's show.
