News: MRTV starts its transformation for the ABU Radio Song Festival.


As the third edition of the ABU Radio Song Festival gets closer, the burmese national broadcaster has started transforming its structure in order to turn this former state controlled broadcasting network into a public entity.

This broadcaster, which will organise the ABU Radio Song Festival 2015, that will be held in Yangon, (The former burmese capital city), has launched two new channels, MRTV news, and MRTV entertainment. The last one, will be focused on movies and events.
Apart from all those changes, this television and radio station has changed its logo in order to adapt the image and contents to the new times.

The ABU Radio Song Festival, that will be also televised by this channel, will take place on 19th May 2015. The deadline in order to take part in the event started in November 30th.
The participating countries and the contestants will be announced by the ABU.
