The Arab ABU member countries.


Last week the official facebook account of the ABU TV Song Festival, confirmed that the ASBU, the Arab States Broadcasting Union, was going to take part in the festival. This pan arabic entity, which is part of the league of Arab States will also participate in the ABU Radio Song Festival in Yangon, an event that unlike its TV counterpart is focused on unknown artists.

Indonesia to host the ABU TV Song Festival 2016.

According to the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union, Indonesia will be the host country of the ABU TV Song Festival 2016.
Indonesia, which is one of the most interested countries in the show from the very first time. TVRI the national broadcaster of that country has taken part in every edition of the festival, and in fact, the company is normally the very first one to annunce their entrant, every year.

ABU TV Song Festival 2015: Arab states and India will debut in Istanbul.

According to the ABU TV Song Festival facebook account, Palestine and India, both of which are taking part in the ARSF 2015, are also going to participate at the ABU TV Song Festival.
ASBU, the Arab States Broadcasting Union, which has organised the palestinian entrey in the ABU Radio Song Festival 2015, is strongly cooperating with the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union.

News: MRTV broadcasts a report about ARSF 2015.

In one of the lastest reports of MRTV (Myanmar Radio and Television), the company has aired a news report which reviews the three editions of the ABU Radio Song Festival taken place so far.
After reviewing the short story of the event, one of the chiefs of MRTV has talked in a little interview about the organisation of the event.

News: ARSF 2015. All the entries have been presented.

According to the ABU Radio Song Festival 2015 website all the entries that will take part in the event have been already presented. The "More entries on the way", announcement which has been present in the website till today, has been substituded by "Enjoy the music".

ABU General Assembly website has been opened.

TRT and the ABU have opened their special official website for the 52nd ABU General Assembly 2015, that it will be held in Istanbul, just like the ABU TV Song Festival 2015. This convention will last approximately one week.

News: Singapore reveals their entry for ARSF 2015.

According to the ABU Radio Song Festival 2015 website, Sufie Rashid, will represent singapore in the show. Mediacorp, which is the broadcaster that organises the singaporean entries in both of the ABU Song Festivals, has revealed its entry this morning.

News: ABU TV Song Festival 2015. The deadline will end today.

The call for participation in the ABU TV Song Festival 2015, will end today. The Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union, started the deadline in March. Since then, the interested members of the organisation have been able to confirm their participation in the event.

News: ABU TV Song Festival 2015. Kazakhstan will take part.

Kazakhstan will participate in the fourth edition of the ABU TV Song Festival, that will take place in Istanbul. The broadcaster Qazmedïa ortalığı, will be the network that will organise the kazakh entry in the event. This broadcaster entered in the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union in 2012, being the second broadcaster after Khabar agency which entered the organisation.

Palestine to debut in the ABU Radio Song festival 2015.

Palestine, has submitted a song to the ABU Radio Song Festival 2015. The ASBU (Arab States Broadcasting Union), is the broadcaster that has sent the palestinian entry.
Dalal Abu Amne, (In the image) will be the very first palestinian contestant in the ARSF 2015, that will take place in Yangon. Her song named "Bederak" is a tarab style ballad with ethnic elements performed in arabic.

News: TRT preparing for ABU General Assembly.

TRT, the turkish national broadcaster is preparing the 52nd General Assembly of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, that will take place in Istanbul.

Countries: Papua New Guinea, an ABU member country.

Papua New Guinea (PNG) is a country located in the south Pacific Ocean being Indonesia its only neighbour. The Capital city is Port Moresby, in the eastern part of the country. PNG, populated by 7 million people has got two radio and TV stations being members of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, which makes PNG elegible to take part in any of the ABU Song Festivals.

Brunei, one of the first countries to confirm its participation in the ABU Radio Song Festival 2015, has selected its entrant for the event. Nurul Huda Fadilah who has been internally selected by Radio Televisyen Brunei (RTB).

News: ARSF 2015. Myanmar and Pakistan reveal their entries.

Myanmar and Pakistan have both revealed their entries for the ABU Radio Song Festival 2015. Myanmar, the host country will debut in the event with two entries. The first burmese song will be performed by a band formed by Min Theik Di, Ko Lynn and May Ingyin Thaw.
