Today is the deadline to confirm participation in the ABU Radio Song Festival 2015 that will take place in Yangon (Rangoon), the biggest city of Myanmar (Burma).

Countries: Vietnam, an ABU meber country

Vietnam is a country located in the coast area of South East Asia, with a population of 90 million citicens. The biggest city of the country is Ho Chi Minh City, which is located in the south of the country, while the capital city, and second biggest one is Hanoi, located in the north.

For the ABU TV Song Festival fans, this country is known because in 2013, Hanoi hosted the festival. This country is also elegible to participate in the ABU TV Cup Song Contest which will be held for first time in early 2017.

Kazakhstan is a country located in Central Asia. It's the ninth largest country in the world, and has got a population of 16 millions.

Two languages are spoken in the country, the kazakh language which is the official one, and Russian, which is understood by everyone.

The capital city of the country is New Delhi, in the north of the country, although the financial capital city is Mumbai in the west coast.
The diversity of the country is also something to take into account, because there are more than 50 recognised languages, being Hindi the most spoken one.

Laos is a South East Asian country located between Vietman, Thailand, China and Cambodia. It has a population of six million inhabitants and its capital city is Vientiane.

The national broadcasting company of this country is the LNT (Lao National Television) and still hasn't taken part in any of the ABU Song Festivals. Laos is also elegible to participate in the upcoming ABU TV Cup Song Contest wichi will premiere on early 2017.

Mongolia is a central asian country located between Russia and China. This country is one of the leass populated places in the world with only two million of people. Its capital city is Ulaanbaatar, where more than half of Mongolia's population lives.

This contry tried to participate in the ABU TV Song Festival 2012, but later withdrew from the show and never tried again to take part.

Cambodia is a south-eastern asian country whose state radio and television broadcaster is member of the ABU (Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union).
Although the TVK (National Television of Kampuchea), belongs to ABU, it has never intended to send an entry to any of the ABU Song Festivals.

Turkey, the host country of the ABU TV Song Festival 2015

Turkey, more concretely, Istambul, will host the ABU TV Song Festival 2015.
The music lovers usually know the music of this country thanks to its participation in the Eurovision Song Contest from 1975, to 2012, and in the Turkvision song contest from 2013 onawards.

ABU Radio Song Festival 2015 Will take place in Rangoon, Myanmar

According to the ABU Website, the ABU Radio Song Festival will turn into an annual event. Until 2014, the festival was held only every two years, but due to the success of this event, the ABU has decided that the ARSF will take place every year.
