Asiavision may have a refference group


SBS, the Australian broadcaster that is in charge of both the Australian participation in the Eurovision Song Contest and the future Asiavision Song Contest has revlealed more details about the new pan-Asian competitive song festival.
Hellen Kellie, the head of SBS, has announced that they are working with broadcasters in South Korea, Japan and China in order to create a refference group for the contest. According to Eurovoix World, the Australian TV channel is also discussing the event with an Indian private broadcaster.


As the head of the company states, SBS is pushing forward so that the event takes place in 2017. As said in previous informations 12 countries are expected to participate in the first edition of this competitive pan-Asian song festival. 

Australia, South Korea, Japan, China and India may be the Big 5 of this contest, while the other participating countries may not be as powerful as the ones from the refference group.
