The upcoming Asiavision Song Contest, which is being organised by the Australian SBS and a number of powerful Asian broadcasers, has appeared in the Indonesian internet forums.
Indonesia is a country that has taken part in many international events related to music. TVRI, the Indonesian national broadcaster has taken part, so far, in the ABU Radio Song Festival (Focused on amateur singers), and the ABU TV Song Festival (Focused on famous or massively popular singers in their countries).
The interest in the future pan-Asian song competition, seems to be emerging slowly in this South East Asian country. In fact, the debate about the possible involvement of Indonesia in Asiavision has appeared in the internet forums. Some questions, such as the language of the Indonesian entry, or the genere of the song (Pop, Rock or Dangdut), have been debated in Forum Detik,
TVRI, as other Asian broadcasters, seems to be in talks with SBS in order to lauch the event in March 2017.
