The ABU TV Song Festival 2015 has started the call for countries for the event. The logo for this foruth edition has also been revealed.
The deadline for the countries that are interested in the festival will end in April 15th. After the submission of the applications, the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union will select the 10 or 15 countries that will finally take part in the festival.
The ABU TV Song Festival, just like the previous editions, will be a celebration of popular music between the participating countries, that will send some of their most prominent artists and bands.
As the deadline for the sumbission of applications starts today, the number of participating countries is still unknown. Turkey, the host country has already confirmed its participation in the festival. The maldivian broadcastar has also confirmed its interest in the event, and its participation is highly likely.
Other countries which have been participating in the ATSF every year; for example, China, Japan, Vietnam and South Korea, are also likely to be in Istanbul this year.
The ABU TV Song Festival 2015 will take place on October 28th in the turkish biggest city and former capital. The show will be part of the ABU General Assembly and will be co-organised by TRT, the turkish national broadcaster and the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union.
The venue for the show has not been revealed, but it will be announced in the next moths.
