Thailand won't host ABU Radio Song Festival 2016

It has been confirmed that Thailand won't host the fifth edition of the ABU Radio Song Festival, which was expected to be held in Bangkok on April 2016.

The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union revealed that due to the death of Bhumibol Adulyadej (ภูมิพลอดุลยเดช) the Thai national radio broadcaster refused to host the event.

ABU Radio Song Festival has been celebrated from 2012 till today. The festival started in Seoul as a competitive contest in 2012, but two years later the event turned into a showcase for amateur and unsingned singers.

The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union has not released details about the next edition of the festival and Thailand and Indonesia are the only confirmed countries.
