Since the fist edition of the ABU Radio Song Festival, which was held in Seoul, the south korean capital city, the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union has been using the same website for the two editions of the festival taken place so far.
Seven hours ago, the website was updated with the subtittle "ABU Radio Song Festival 2015", something that indicates, that the participating countries and their contestants, will be announced soon.
13 countries took part in the final of the ABU Radio Song Festival in its inaugural edition. Two years later in the second edition, which was held at the Stein Studio in Colombo (Sri Lanka), losing the initially competitive nature of the show, the number of participating countries, dropped, but the festival, unexpectedly turned to be a great audience success.
Although the ARSF was planned to be an every two years event, the ABU made the decision to turn it into an annual event, due to de audience success and the critical acclaim.
The ABU Radio Song Festival is focused on discovering the unknown and unsigned musicians, providing them, a platform to make them known to all the asian audiences, giving them the chance to advance in their careers.
