ABU TV Cup Song Contest: Australia to relaunch Asiavision.

SBS the Australian broadcasting entity that broadcasts the Eurovision Song Contest in Australia has signed a deal with the European Broadcasting Union that will give them the rights to create a similar song contest in the Asia Pacific Region. It's unknown it this fact will interfere with the plans of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, for the ABU TV Cup Song Contest in 2017.
As this broadcaster says, this event, will give the Asian Singer and Songwriters, the perfect chance to show their talent to a great audience.

The Asian Song Contests have had a tortuous past. The first attempt was made in 1991, with the golden Kite Song Festiva, but later, the show was discontinued. In 2009, the same contest was tried to be revived with the "AsiaVision" brand, and later, with the "Our Sound" name. Unfortunately, the event was delayed, and later cancelled.

In 2012, the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union created the ABU TV Song Festival, and the ABU Radio Song Festival. Anyway, none of these events is competitive. In 2017, the same organisation signed a deal with Hunan TV, a chinese private channel. Both entities will organise the ABU TV Cup Song Contest, which will be competive and is scheluded to take place on early 2017.

It's unknown if both events will compete against each other or if both competitions will be later, merged into one.
