ABU TV Cup Song Contest in Chinese social networks

The announcement of the creation of the ABU TV Cup Song Contest in 2017, has appeared on the chinese social network "Baidu", which is also a search engine similar to Google. The main reason why this future event has appeared in this chinese network maybe the fact that the private station Hunan TV has been negotiating with the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union about it.

Hunan TV is widely known in Mainland China by its well known entertainment programmes. Their TV dramas and talent shows are really popular among the chinese youth. This TV station was the creator of the "Super Girls" talent show, from where some of the most popular singers of the last decade, such as Chris Lee and Bibi Zhou came from. The latter, represented China in the third ABU TV Song Festival in Macau.
Bibi Zhou, one of the chinese representants
in the ABU TV Song Festival.
The Eurovision Song Contest, the competition in which the ABU Song Festivals are based, has got a little fanbase in the chinese giant, anyway is still unknown among the most of the chinese audience despite the fact that the festival has been shown on Hunan TV the previous years. So happens with the ABU Song Festivals, which in their actual form have not had the same level of popularity.

As the project is still underway, there is a feeling of illusion combined with lack of information about this future event.
