Brunei Will not participate in the ABU TV Song Festival.

Radio Televisyen Brunei, the national TV broadcaster of this little country has announced that they will withdraw from the ABU TV Song Festival this year.




No reasons for this decission have been given, but this is the second country that confirms its no participation in the festival. Few weeks ago, was known that Australia would neither participate in the ATSF, due to founding issues.

Brunei Has taken part twice in the ABU TV Song Festival. The counry debuted in 2013, in Hanoi, with the feemale singer Qeez Idrus and her song "Salahkah aku".


One year later Brunei participated with a male singer Juan Madial, who performed a ballad translated into english as "Hear me".


This year, 6 countries have announced their participation in the ABU TV Song festival 2015. Japan, one of the founders of the event is one of them. India, that will make its debut this year, will also participate in he festival. Kazakhstan, has also announced its debut in the event and has already selected its entrant.

Indonesia, another important player in the festival has also confirmed its participation. The entrant has not been announced, but some rumors say that Shella Tiatira could be the next indonesian performer in he festival.

One of the arab countries from the Arab League will also debut in the ABU TV Song Festival 2015, but the country still has not been decided. Anyway, there are rumors saying that Amal Maher, from Egypt could be the very first arabic representant in the festival.

Turkey, the host country of the festival, will also participate in the festival, while Maldives have stated they will to participate.
