Hikaru Dumoto. New president of ABU.

Hikaru Dumoto, a widely recognised japanese journalist from the NHK, the japanese national broadcaster, has been elected as the president of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union. 

Dumoto, who took the presidence of the organisation on November 25th, has been developing his career in the journalism for 40 years. After graduating in the Waseda University with a bachelor in law, he joined the japanese national broadcaster where he has been developing almost all his career as a journalist.
As the new president of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, the new chief of th entity will participate in all the events and conferences sponsored by the organisation, including the ABU Digital Broadcasting Symposium, the Asia-Radio Conference and the ABU General assembly. 

The presence of the president will also be important for the events related to the main conferences of the organisation such as the ABU TV Song Festival, the ABU Radio Song Festival and the ABU TV Cup Song Contest, which will be celebrated on early 2017.
