News: The Yangon National Theatre will be the venue for the ABU Radio Song Festival 2015

Padamyar FM, one of the burmese public radio broadcasters, which also belongs to MRTV, has confirmed  that the ABU Radio Song Festival 2015, will be celebrated in the Yangon National Theatre.


The Yangon National Theatre is one of the most important concert halls in Myanmar. Built by chinese architects in the 1980's, this auditorium which has got a seat capacity for over 1.000 viewers, has been the host place for many important concerts. Many burmese singers such as Phyu Phyu Kyaw Thein, Ni Ni Khin Zaw, and bands such as Iron Cross, have performed there. One of the latest performances held in this music venue is the debut of the Myanmar National Orchestra.

The ABU Radio Song Festival 2015, which is a showcase for unknown or unsigned performers across the Asia-Pacific region, will take place on May 29th.
