News: Asia Radio Conference, and the ABU Radio Song Festival preparation goes on.

In a report made by MRTV on December 12th of the last year, the burmese public broadcasting entity, announced that is preparing the Asia Radio Confrerence, which will be hosted by Myanmar for the very first time. This conference has been organising since 2005, and this year, 40 or 45 speakers from all the radio station members of the Asia-Pacifc Broadcasting Union, are expected to attend the convention.
The aim of this event is the exchange ideas between the broadcasting companies from all over the Asia-Pacific region.

Bhutan is a little country located in the hymalaya mountains, which borders whith China and India. The population of the country is little, with only 742.737 citicens. The echonomy of the country is also little, but quickly improoving, which also has had a reflection in the still nascent musical scene of this country. In fact, This country has taken part once in the ABU Radio Song Festival 2012, which took place in Seoul, the South Korean capital city.

Singapore is one of the most powerful echonomies of the world, and also, is a multilinguistic country with Malay, Mandarin Chinese and Tamil as the official languages. This is one of the 12 founders of the ABU Song Festivals, having taken part Twice in both events.

News: Russia turns into an ABU member.

The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union has enlargered with one new member, Russia which is a country between two continents, with a large part of its territory inside Asia.

ROSSIYA, which is the name of the new member station of the ABU, has started cooperating with the rest of the members of the organisation, by the exchange of programs and news.

Hong Kong is one of the countries that launched the ABU Song Festivals in 2012, participating in every edition of the ABU TV Song Festival ever since. This little region of the People's republic with a high cultural and echonomical power is known by the music fans and the ABU fans by its vibrant music scene.

Australia is one of the biggest states in the world, Is a country located in Oceania, but is normally associated to the Asia-Pacific region. This country has been taking part in every edition of the ABU TV Song Festival, and the ABU Radio Song festival since the very beginning of the show.

News: MRTV starts its transformation for the ABU Radio Song Festival.

As the third edition of the ABU Radio Song Festival gets closer, the burmese national broadcaster has started transforming its structure in order to turn this former state controlled broadcasting network into a public entity.

History: ABU TV Song Festival 2014

The ABU TV Song Festival 2014 was the third edition of this festival, which tries to be the asian response to the successful Eurovision Song Contest. After an awesome first edition, which took place in Seoul, the South Korean capital, and after a second edition which was heavily criticised by the camera work, the job made with the LED screens and the tiny venue, the third edition brought mixed feelings.
